The Malawi Communications Regulatory Authority (MACRA) is hosting the Women In cyberAfrica Conference at the Bingu International Convection Center (BICC) in Lilongwe from 1st to 4th August 2023. The conference’s theme is “Bridging the Gender Gap and Breaking the Glass Ceiling.” It aims to address the gender gap in technology and cybersecurity fields and empower women to participate fully in the technology sector. MACRA has partnered with various organizations, including HER FOR TECH, for this event.
The conference will offer structured trainings and a mentorship circle to enhance cybersecurity capacity and capabilities. Its objectives include building capacity, inspiring women to pursue careers in cybersecurity, promoting knowledge sharing, and empowering women to take up leadership roles in cybersecurity. The event is open to all women experts, practitioners, and professionals in the field of cybersecurity, as well as relevant stakeholders from government ministries, academia, telecommunication operators, and more.
